a flood watch remains in effect until 1am thursday. rain has been steady since very early this morning and continues now through the morning commute. standing and high water will be concern on our roadways as we can expect at least 1 inch or more by 8am. we will watch the rain become more scattered mid morning into early afternoon before steady to moderate rain redevelops after 1pm right into this evenings commute. temperatures remain mild in the low to mid 50s. rain totals by late tonight will reach 2 inches or more in spots. then as temperatures fall to 33 degrees tonight look for scattered snow showers thursday morning with most snow melting in impact. however i can't rule out some icy patches of slushy snow for tomorrow mornings commute. thursday we will watch on and off snow showers with accumulations best 1 inch however most melting on impact with highs of 36 degrees. then colder and dry friday into the weekend as temps will rebound by sunday into the upper 40s carstar single lane closure on southbound i-75

appears to be an r-v park in the town of convent, in southern louisiana. the saint james parish sheriff says two people were killed there and 31 taken to hospitals, seven in critical condition. the weather service says the threat of violent storms and possible tornadoes extends across south georgia. "he heard a noise it sounded like something was hitting the camper and he just grabbed me and through me under the table and told me to hold on and after that it was a lot of flipping and just you know it was pretty crazy. we ended up 50 60 yards away were you tossed around how were you not injured i current conditions and the lightning detector.

new this morning... it looks like two armed robbery suspects picked the wrong victim. the night chief tells us a 45-year old man was arriving home on north lynnebrooke drive in college hill at midnight when two men tried to rob him. but investigators say the man has a conceal carry permit and was armed too. it's not clear who fired first... but the man was shot in the leg. it's not clear whether the suspects were hit. happening today
